According to family members of the owner before last, this aircraft was purchased as a lot of three aircraft.
This aircraft was disassembled and stored in a barn in Northeast OK and then purchased by a group of investors with the intent of restoration, after several moves from storage facilities, hangars etc. the Heartland Air Museum was able to acquire the aircraft to begin the restoration of this magnificent piece of World War II history. |
